Attendance registration at the workplace

In the fight against social fraud, you are obliged in some sectors to register your presence at work. Your employer has to inform you whether attendance registration is required at your workplace. You and your employer are jointly responsible for the registration.

Attendance registration is currently mandatory in the following sectors:

  • Works on immovable property, delivery of ready-mixed concrete and activities in the meat sector (Checkinatwork)
  • Cleaning activities in immovable property (Check In and Out at Work)

You can register your presence in the Checkinatwork online service (in French) if you:

  • carry out works on immovable property at a workplace where the total costs are equal to or exceed a certain limit, or
  • carry out activities related to meat preparations or meat products and the slaughter or cutting of hoofed animals, poultry and rabbits in establishments that are subject to approval of the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC).

As an employee, you have to ensure that your presence at the workplace is registered. You can:

  • register your presence yourself in Checkinatwork if you have agreed on this with your employer, or
  • have the registration of your attendance checked by your employer.

When are you required to register your attendance in Checkinatwork?

You must register your attendance in Checkinatwork before you start work or have someone register it for you. Your attendance must be registered every working day. This can be done either on the same day or in advance.

What do you need to register?

To register your attendance, you need an identification number. This is:

  • a Belgian national registration number or BIS number, or
  • the QR code of your Limosa-1 document.

Please note: you can only use the Limosa QR code to register or have your presence registered. You cannot view or cancel the registration.
