Register as an employer in Belgium
In case you want to employ staff in Belgium you must register as an employer with the National Social Security Office (NSSO) using the online service Wide. If you wish to appoint mandataries to support you with your administration, use the Mahis online service to mandate them.
In the Wide online service, a company or its mandatary identifies the company as an employer with the NSSO. After registration, company representatives with due access can modify entries or unregister the company as an employer.
There is a non-secured and a secured version of Wide. As an employer, you should use the secured version of Wide in first instance. Only if this is not possible, you can use the non-secured version. Consult the Wide manualfor a step-by-step guide on how to use this online service. You find more information on Wide on the Social security enterprise portal (in French).
To mandate an accredited social secretariat or service provider to manage your workforce, complete declarations or carry out other administrative duties, use the Mahis online service. Consult the Mahis manual for a step-by-step guide on how to appoint mandataries. You also find more information on Mahis on the Social security enterprise portal (in French).
